Our New Zealand running events are made for everyday runners by everyday runners, and many of them include walking categories as well. We pride ourselves on delivering a positive, rewarding experience to keep participants coming back for more. 

Victory Events are renowned for going the extra mile to put on quality events that make our customers feel special. Entries in our events are highly sought after and are constantly in demand. 

For many of our participants, successful completion is a bucket list achievement. 99% of our customers aren’t elite runners, they’re typical kiwis from all walks of life seeking out adventure, challenge, and exceptional experiences.

The Goat Tongariro (est. 2004) is an exhilarating adventure run from Whakapapa to Turoa Ski Fields on the Round the Mountain track, traversing the western slopes of Mount Ruapehu, and is held mid-summer. The Goat has become a ‘celebrity’ in the trail running world, as the ultimate bucket list challenge.

One distance:
20km (approx) Run

The Kid (est. 2022) is a special Adventure Run just for young people aged 5-16, as part of The Goat Tongariro Adventure Run. The Kid follows a 3.2km trail in the Mangawhero Forest in Ohakune, an off-road track that loops around the forest and finishes under a special archway at The Goat Prizegiving.

The Ruapehu Trail Festival (est. 2022) brings together two of Victory Events’ outstanding and trusted events, the Ring of Fire and Tussock Traverse to provide a weekend of adventure to trail lovers from all over the world. New to the mix in this awe-inspiring location, is the Sky Waka Vertical Challenge.

Sky Waka Vertical Challenge (est. 2022) is a unique sky-running challenge where athletes attempt to ascend the highest mountains from the seven continents of the world. The Sky Waka Vertical Challenge sees individuals, pairs, and teams of 3 knock off as much mountain elevation as possible in four hours.

Sun to Surf Run & Walk Events, Ohope, NZ

Ring of Fire (est. 2018) is a 73km (approx) ultra running event circumnavigating Mount Ruapehu, in the Tongariro National Park, New Zealand and is held in late summer. This event brings together national and worldwide intrepid trail runners with its unique fusion of inspiring landscape, authentic culture and epic adventure.

Tussock Traverse (est. 2005) is an alpine adventure run and walk event held in summer in the awe-inspiring Tongariro National Park, New Zealand. It is an event that truly has something for all levels of fitness and trail running or walking experience. Tussock Traverse is now incorporated in the Ring of Fire event.

Rotorua Ekiden (est. 2005) is a fun team relay run or walk around beautiful Lake Rotorua and welcomes people of all fitness levels and abilities to sign up for this marathon distance event. Rotorua Ekiden is generally held in Spring.

Sun to Surf Run & Walk Events (est.2019) welcomes participants of all abilities to experience the unique beach vibes of the treasured Eastern Bay region and enjoy a slice of ocean paradise. Get a PB with the fast, flat and scenic courses, and stick around and enjoy the Victory Craft F&B Village.
